MAKING OF LEATHER BUTTON:

  1. Chossing the leather hide.

  2. We choose leather that has been properly prepared on the underneath side from the tannery so there will be no fuzzy pieces of leather coming off on clothes when it is worn.

  3. After the leather button has been cut, it is damped in water on the top service only.

  4. The design is stamped on the surface and again wet by sponge.

  5. After the water has dried from the leather, we are ready ti dye the top surface of the leather. Profession oil dye is used for coloring. It penetrates deeply into the leather while allowing the natural grains seen.

  6. Once the dye is dried, we can make border design.

  7. Rather than have a square edge, we round the edges of the button.

  8. The edge of the button are died.

  9. Now the punching is done using the punch for the holes to sew.
